Parent & Student Online Quality Standards Policy

At Accelerate Tutors, outstanding learning is achieved through a partnership between tutors, parents and students. This policy sets out the standards expected to ensure every lesson is productive, safe and successful.

1. Preparing for Lessons

Students should:

• Join lessons on time.
• Have all required books and materials ready.
• Ensure devices are fully charged.
• Test internet, microphone and camera beforehand.
• Learn in a quiet environment free from distractions.

2. Attendance

Parents and students should:

• Give adequate notice of cancellations.
• Attend every scheduled lesson where possible.
• Inform Accelerate Tutors of prolonged absences.
• Respect agreed lesson times.

3. Student Responsibilities

Students are expected to:

• Participate actively.
• Ask questions confidently.
• Complete homework on time.
• Show respect towards tutors.
• Maintain good online behaviour.

4. Parent Responsibilities

Parents should:

• Encourage regular attendance.
• Provide a suitable learning environment.
• Support homework completion.
• Maintain positive communication with tutors through Accelerate Tutors.
• Inform us of any learning difficulties or special educational needs.

5. Communication

Parents should contact Accelerate Tutors regarding:

• Scheduling changes
• Concerns about progress
• Technical issues
• Requests for additional support

Parents should avoid arranging private tutoring directly with Accelerate Tutors tutors.

6. Online Safety

Students should:

• Use appropriate language.
• Keep cameras on where possible (unless otherwise agreed).
• Never record lessons without permission.
• Respect tutor privacy.
• Never share lesson links with others.
